About Us

Hi-Tech Industries was set up in 1994 to apply fluoropolymer coatings to studbolts in the niche petro- chemical and mining industries. Since then we have emerged as one of the most respected coating applicators in Australia, applying a wide range of technically advanced, thin film thermally cured coatings.

Following its acquisition by the Norman Hay Group in 2007, Hi-Tech is now equipped to offer the full range of Armourcote specialist coatings.

Hi-Tech has a full range of thin film and hi-build performance coatings, with the technical support to meet the demanding requirements of oil and gas production in situations offshore, sub sea and splash zone. We are specialists in pump and valve coatings for components requiring reliable coatings for chemical resistance, lubrication, high/low speed pressure friction and general corrosion.

Specifically engineered coatings are applied in-house or in the field using single and multiple coat systems as required by leading companies in the industry. Pre treatments offered include abrasive blasting, bead blasting, zinc and manganese phosphate and chemical etching.

Hi-Tech offers in-house coating and in the case of air dry systems can offer on-site services. Our modern workshop has multiple spray and bake lines as well as air dry facilities. We also offer pre-treatment including abrasive blasting, bead blasting, chemical etching and the ability to zinc manganese phosphate items weighing up to several tonnes.

We offer engineered coatings for extremely harsh environments to meet a wide variety of industrial applications, designed to aid in make up/break out torque, prevent galling, reduce wear/friction on mating/sliding surfaces and reduce noise on mating surfaces. We protect from chemical and salt corrosion often in extremely high and low temperatures, provide excellent dielectric strength and enhance product release in many food process applications through the use of non stick coatings.
